Nurture LLC fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion within institutions and communities. We educate groups about the history, sociocultural dynamics, personal and interpersonal skills, and organizational practices that build an equitable society.
Build your:
Historical and cultural literacy
Ability to communicate cross-culturally
Empathy for others’ lived experiences
Capacity to act for racial repair and reconciliation
We specialize in helping audiences understand important issues in contemporary race relations, especially the under-told history and present day realities of African Americans and other marginalized groups in the US. We address the questions: How did we get here and what can we do to build a healthy future for all?
Our in-demand presentations share the historical and contemporary contexts crucial for understanding the dynamics of diversity in America.
Our staff training programs incorporate more time for learning and small group discussion so participants can go deeper.
We provide support for organizations’ diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. We are available to provide an initial equity scan and supportive consulting for wherever you and your organization find yourselves to be on the journey to equity.
We believe our country is currently experiencing a uniquely “teachable time” in its journey towards realizing its founding ideals of liberty and justice for all.
Dr. Fran Kaplan formed Nurture LLC to advance and support that journey by using methods they’ve honed over many years to build bridges from our past to our future across racial/ethnic, urban/suburban/rural, generational, and other divides.
Dr. Fran has spent fifty-five years working against poverty and for social justice and peace locally, nationally, and internationally. A social change “entrepreneur,” she has founded and led multiple organizations. Learn more about Dr. Fran.
We look forward to partnering with organizations and individuals who seek to join the journey toward equity and build bridges together.
